I started this research line in 2010, in collaboration with the ECSenS research group. Our current developments focus on:
- Design and modelling of disposable optical sensors
- Machine learning methods for colorimetric feature characterization of optical sensors and its application to the estimation of chemical variables
- Optimization of sensor arrays for minimization of size and energy resources
- Development of portable hardware for estimation of chemical variables in waters using disposable optical sensors
- Applications for pH determination, alkaline metals detection and heavy metal classification
